Sometimes you may be looking for something to do that is reasonably priced, whether it is in your hometown, a nearby drive, or a favorite vacation spot. My family has discovered that an annual membership in a science museum (and undoubtedly other types of museums as well) can not only pay for itself after a couple of trips, but if your local museum has a reciprocal relationship with other places, your membership may be valid in those other cities, too. For example, the wonderful Liberty Science Center in Jersey City, New Jersey partners with countless other facilities. In recent months, this has enabled us to visit museums in Boston and Chicago as well. An excellent list of participating science centers is available at http://www.astc.org/members/passlist.htm.
